Using Mac Mail 9.2 (3112), OS X 10.11.3 El Capitan, with a Gmail account (as well as other accounts). I've also turned up Mac Mail messages using Safari from the Finder and have the same issue. In Mac Contacts you can highlight a contact and then hold the Option key to highlight all the groups that contact is in, for example. I'd like to be able to do this for any message at any time (possible?), but particularly in that find scenario. How can I see the other Mac Mail folders a given message is in? (The other "labels" used by Gmail) THAT is what I want to see, where I've dragged that message to file it myself. Which is technically true, but most of them I've also filed in other, specific mailboxes. In Mac Mail when I search for a message in my Gmail account using the search box in the upper right of the toolbar, all the results are shown as being filed in the "Archive - AcctName (All Mail)" mailbox.
